Issos Corfu beach is a great favourite with local people. It stretches for 2kms, with golden sand and shallow, clean water and a quiet spot for everyone who likes a thoroughly relaxing day at the beach. The beach has all standard facilities: sunbeds and parasols for rent, a big kiosk for soft drinks and coffees, some pedalos for rent, beach-volley and beach-handball courts, kite surf establishment and occasionally, water sports. Issos has an amazing setting of sand dunes which look like huge waves covering the beach.

It's popular for camping, though stricly speaking this is not really allowed. Some scene shooting for James Bond's movie were taken here in the past.
Getting there by bus is not recommended (the green bus stop is 3km from the beach itself). It is about an hour's drive by car or motorbike from Corfu town. There is a huge free parking area on the beach. The whole area is the south border of Korission Lake which is a protected enviroment, therefore no buildings are allowed in the area. In case you wish to stay for your Corfu summer holidays the closest place to find accommodation is Argyrades village.
Tip: Try to walk to the end of the beach and between the sand dunes. If you love nature settings this one is not to be missed.
