Ever fancied yourself as a Gary Rhodes or a Jamie Oliver? Here's your chance to learn how to prepare some of the most famous Greek dishes in a local restaurant in Corfu.
Just imagine how impressed your friends will be when you re-create the dishes back home! Greek cuisine is famous throughout the world for its variety and distinctive flavours. The inexhaustible supply of herbs and fresh ingredients from the countryside are the inspiration for many dishes.
Through the outskirts of Corfu town and the picturesque countryside the tour will drive you to some of the finest places of Corfu island. The demonstration can take place under the shadow of high trees during the hot summer days or in front of a fire place on a chilly afternoon.
Corfu-grown olives, crusty village bread and creamy feta cheese, accompanied by the traditional aperitif, ‘ouzo' (or wine or soft drinks) will be served when you arrive at one of Corfu's favourite tavernas. Next comes the fun part - you'll watch a fascinating demonstration on how to prepare famous Greek dishes, and pick up a few tips from the chef along the way! The chef will teach you how to prepare ‘tzatziki' with fresh Greek yoghurt, garlic and cucumber, cod roe ‘taramosalata' and the world famous Greek salad and mousaka. Then sit down to feast on these delicious creations. The special lunch will be rounded off with seasonal fruits or Baklava or yoghurt with honey and walnuts and coffee.
The tour will then visit the Corfu old town for 1hour free time for exploration and shopping. One of our places is situated only 6km away from Corfu's most famous beach, Glyfada. As an alternative, you can have a few hours of beach time and then enjoy the demonstration and the Greek cuisine instead of going to Corfu town or visit the Koum Quat distillery and taste its products for free.
