Myrtiotissa beach is the most famous Corfu nudist beach. It's the very next beach after Glyfada and has some of the same charachteristics - golden sand and crystal clear waters, in an amazing setting of olive groves , pine trees and cypresses. It has an unspoilt beauty mainly because of the steep difficult road and its location. There are few sunbeds and umbrellas for rent, a restaurant where you can get snacks and refreshments and the only other building of the area is a monastery; make sure you have what you need before you get there.
There are many fish and a small brook flowing in front. It's approximately 20km from Corfu town but you won't find helpful the public bus as it stops quite far from the beach. If you choose to go by car - supposing you will find parking - you still have to walk 500m down the hill and make sure your driving an 4X4! We wouldn't suggest to get there on a motorbike as the last couple of kilometers are quite steep, on cement road which occasionally could be ruined from the winter rains.
As Myrtiotissa beach is not very long, during the afternoon hours of the summer season it can get very busy. It also very hot underfoot during July and August.
Tip: Take the path at the end of the beach, next to the monastery. It's beautiful and it's an opportunity to discover the inland of Corfu as you can walk for quite a while in the uninhabited west side with the lush vegetation.
